1). Windsor Great Park
Part of the Windsor Estate, these 15,800 acres of beautiful grasslands, lakes, deer parks, gardens and forests are a treasure trove of natural beauty. 3). Stanlake Park Vineyard Tour
Explore the stunning grounds of one of the oldest Wine Producers in England. Surrounded by beautiful vineyards, enjoy a tour of the historic Stanlake Park Wine Estate, learn about the fascinating process of winemaking and taste some of their delicious produce.
3). ‘The shortest street in Britain’
You may have heard of Windsor’s Long Walk but did you know you can also find the ‘shortest street in Britain’ just a stones throw from The Castle Hotel? Measuring just 51 feet and 10 inches, the cobbled Queen Charlotte Street is a short but sweet hidden gem.
4). Take a carriage ride
What better way to explore the Royal Borough then from a private horse-drawn carriage? 5). Chocolate Making

6). Local Brewery and Tap Room
Since 2010, Windsor & Eton Brewery have brought brewing back to the heart of Windsor with the goal to make beer the town’s top attraction. Whether it is for one of their Duke Street Experience Brewery Tours or live events such as Open Mic or Comedy Nights in the Unit Four Brewery Taproom, they are well worth a visit. You can even try some of the Brewery’s delicious produce at The Castle Hotel bar or Leaf restaurant before you visit.
7). Boat trips

8). Take a walk along the Thames
Take a leisurely stroll along the beautiful Thames path, taking in the gorgeous surroundings of Berkshire. Fancy more of a challenge to get your steps up? Try the 6km circular trail along the Thames Path and through beautiful Eton. This walk is open and lovely all year around and takes approximately 1hour 17minutes to complete. 9). Daniels Department Store – personal shopper and stylist experience
Time for some retail therapy? Take a trip to the largest department store in Windsor; since establishing in 1901 Daniel of Windsor remains a family-run independent store and the flagship of the Daniel Department Store chain. 10). Explore Eton College
With extensive history and famous alumni Eton College is a fascinating Berkshire landmark. Discover the historic independent boarding school with a Heritage Tour. From 19 May to 15 September 2023 you can explore the School Yard, College Chapel, Upper School, Lower School, and the Museum of Eton Life. In addition to the tours, their three museums and special exhibitions are open to the public on Sunday afternoons.
