GENESTA GEORGIAN LLP
VOLUNTARY SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
About us
We operate our 3 hotels with their 6 bars and restaurants under our brand Sutton Hotel Collection.
Although we are not required to make a statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we are making this voluntary statement to show our commitment to ethical trading and employment principles.
We are committed to improving our practices to combat modern slavery and human trafficking in our business by taking steps to ensure that our supply chains are free from these and other human rights abuses. This statement sets out the steps we have taken to understand potential modern slavery risks within our business structure and supply chain, as well as the steps we are taking to eradicate these risks.
Our business and supply chains
We conduct our business ethically and with integrity. We strive at all times to provide a safe and healthy working environment for everyone in our team. We take a zero-tolerance approach to slavery, human trafficking and human rights abuses of any kind. We are committed to ensuring that our business and our supply chain are free from slavery and other human rights abuses.
We work with several suppliers, some of whom are large and established businesses and some of whom are smaller specialists. We are committed to acquiring goods and services for our hotels and restaurants without causing harm to others.
Risk Assessment and effective steps
We keep our business and our supply chain under ongoing review. To ensure that they remain free from slavery and human trafficking, we take the following steps:
- provide training to our key personnel, including those with procurement responsibility, to ensure a high level of understanding about the risks of and how to identify human trafficking and forced labour in our business and our supply chain.
- review our existing, and vet our potential, suppliers to ensure that they are also committed to ethical labour practices. We are identifying any key supplier contracts which need additional anti-slavery and human trafficking provisions; and
- we only employ our employees direct or through reputable employment agencies which adhere to our zero-tolerance stance on anti-slavery and human trafficking.
We encourage openness and will support anyone who raises genuine concerns in good faith about slavery or human trafficking or other human rights abuses. Anyone with any information in this regard in connection with our hotels or anywhere in our supply chain is encouraged to let us know this at the earliest opportunity by sending an email to our Hotel Director:
