Windsor Suite set up for 80 delegates cabaret

In October last year, we hosted an international sport’s betting and gambling client who exclusively booked their event into our self-contained events centre.  Here is an overview of what the organiser had to say about her event at The Castle Hotel.

Tell us a bit about your company and the team members attending the event:

We’re a sport’s entertainment business and our event brought together 90 senior leaders from across the world together.

What was the purpose of your event?

The objective of our leadership conference was to connect, inspire and revisit our integrated strategy. We also wanted to take the time to discuss progress, challenges and future priorities.

Why did you choose The Castle Hotel to host your event?

The Castle Hotel was the ideal location for our event due to our international audience. We were flying many delegates into the UK via London Heathrow and needed a venue which was not in central London but close enough, with a large event space, privacy, really close to the airport but that could still give our team the flavour of a quintessential British hotel.  Being just a 20 minute transfer from London Heathrow, The Castle Hotel ticked all of our boxes.

What space did you use and the rough format of your event.

The majority of our time was spent in the main Windsor Suite which is a beautiful room and was set in cabaret style for us. We then made use of several of the smaller meeting spaces and boardrooms for workshops and breakout sessions.

What would you say about the team that helped you in the run up to your event? And how did they support you?

We had fantastic support from the in-house events team leading up to the event. The communication was great and everything was handled professional. Nothing was too big nor too small, and the team were very accommodating. As with any event, we had last minute delegate changes and rooming list updates and the team took all of our changes in their stride.

Tell us a bit about the catering you chose for the event?

We enjoyed a two-course delegate lunch during our day, prepared by chef and his kitchen brigade. For the evening meal, we definitely wanted to have something different.  A food experience that allowed our delegates to network, chat and taste flavours from across the globe.  We had food stalls which showcased different foods, from Indian to American with curries and burgers.

What was the feedback on the food provided for your event?

Everyone loved that they could have a choice and pick what they wanted for the night. They also enjoyed trying different foods that they may not have experienced before.
